  1. All cadets who are no longer a member of a unit team must turn in the team aiguilettes or an obligation for $13.25 will be placed on you by the school. Only ACTIVE team mebers are authorized to wear aiguillettes.

  2. The following cadets ordered "O" Team shirts and have not paid yet. To receive your shirt, see Master Chief Burgess with your payment of $10.00. If you do not pay by Friday your shirt will be sold to any cadet who wants it.

  3. Drill and Rifle Team members will compete in the West Ashley H.S. Drill Meet this Saturday, 23 Jan 2010. The bus will depart at 0700 sharp! All participants must be at the NJROTC Building not later than 0645 in the proper uniform. Team Commanders must ensure all equipment is staged in the Armory or Supply Room on Friday.

  4. The Drill Team, Academic Team members will participate in the Chapin Drill Meet Academic Postal Thursday.

  5. The Drill Team, Academic Team members will participate in the Space Coast Academic Postal next Tuesday.

  6. The Drill Team, PT Team members will participate in the Space Coast PT Postal next Wednesday afternoon.

  7. Volunteers are needed to assist with the Flowertown Elementary School Program on Fridays after school. See Cadet Heather Hollis in person or leave a note for her with your name and telephone number.

  8. All cadets are reminded that you will be awarded a special "COMMUNITY SERVICE MEDAL" for completing 25 hours of community service this school year; this does not include Unit Service hours. All hours must be completed by 1 April 2010.

  • 13 Feb - "O" Team Departs for Rutledge, GA to compete in the NJROTC National Orienteering Meet.
  • 13 Feb - Booster Club Pancake Breakfast fundraiser at both Applebee locations
  • 14 Feb - "O" Team competes in Nationals at Rutledge, GA

The Greenwave Batallion is the Summerville Highschool Navy JROTC unit.

Our Mission:

Our program mission is to instill in students in United States secondary
educational institutions the values of citizenship, service to the United
States, personal responsibility and a sense of accomplishment.


Greenwave Creed:
